The Need
According to the most recent New York State Health department data from June 2018
The percentage of the population with a Disability in Oswego County is 14.7% that is 3.5% higher than the rest of New York State.
According to the same study the number of children under 18 years with a disability is 6.3% which is 2.5% higher that the rest of New York State.

The Gospel & Disabilities
Then he told the man who had invited him, “When you give a luncheon or a dinner, stop inviting only your friends, brothers, relatives, or rich neighbors. Otherwise, they may invite you in return and you would be repaid. Instead, when you give a banquet, make it your habit to invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Then you will be blessed because they can’t repay you. And you will be repaid when the righteous are resurrected.”

Our Response
Oswego Alliance Church has developed our Special Forces Ministry to:
- Purposely serve and include families and individuals in our community with Special Needs and Disabilities
- To provide a welcoming, safe, accessible environment where everyone has a seat at the table to worship, learn and serve God
- Provide Virtual Options so that we have a variety of ways to help families connect and stay connected to the Church family.
- To love and fellowship with individuals in our community that are often overlooked and marginalized by following the example of Christ to serve others
- To show that every member of the Church body has VALUE
