What to Expect

Thank you for your interest in Oswego Alliance Church. If you’ve made it this far we haven’t scared you off! Attending church is a bold step in a person’ s life and we are here to try and make that experience as smooth as possible for you. Here are some common questions we get about our gatherings on Sunday morning:

How Do I Get There?

Great question! You will find us at 371 Thompson Rd, Oswego, NY 13126. Pop that into the GPS and you should find us with no problems. We’ve also included a handy map for you below.

How Long Will I Be There?

Our gatherings start at 10:00am and will typically be in worship together until 11:15am-11:30am (depending on how fired up the preacher is!). How long you stay after depends on you! We will have time in our lobby for you to gather, get to know some people and you can even grab a free cup of coffee at our Coffee Bar after service.

Is There A Dress Code?

We do ask that you wear clothes to service :-)…But seriously, we have a “come as you are” feel to our service. Some people come in casual attire, some like to wear a tie or a dress, it’s really up to you! (but if it helps…our pastors generally wear jeans or khakis most Sundays and you’ll almost never see them wearing a tie.)

What About My Kids?

Yes they have to wear clothes too! Oh you didn’t mean that…We have a Nursery Program that happens during our service for kids ages Infant – 3 years old in our main building. Our Pre-K – 6th Grade students will be with us in our services, but during the school year they join us for worship and part way through we send them off with a prayer of blessing from one of our OAC Kids Team and they head off to Children’s Church during the sermon.

What Happens During Service?

Our goal is to provide you with a place to experience God as reflected in Scripture. We will have readings, singing of hymns and modern worship songs, prayers, offerings and the preaching of God’s Word. How you participate will be entirely up to you and how God moves in your heart.

watching online

We believe in the importance of the gathered church in person as this fulfills the biblical mandate of the gathering of the saints. Whenever possible we strongly encourage you to be a part of the gathered church for the sake of your spiritual formation.

However, there are instances in which gathering is not possible and if that is the case we have made a live stream option available.

Where Can I Watch?

You can watch our service at the following locations:

Is Anything Different Online?

Nope! We start our live stream countdown about 10 minutes before our gathering starts and it is a true live stream of everything happening at our Thompson Road Campus.
