Bridge to Hope

WHO ARE THEY?

Founded in Oswego, NY, Bridge to Hope is a faith-based organization that aims to provide hope to individuals in Oswego County by providing safe, transitional housing for those experiencing homelessness and individuals and families in housing vulnerable situations. Bridge to Hope currently has three homes in Oswego, all within resource pools and job opportunities.

HOW THEY HELP

Bridge to Hope walks alongside their residents, while they are with them in the programs and beyond; and equips them with the tools needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Bridge to Hope has found that this is most successfully done by providing support for physical, mental and spiritual needs, while helping these folks to develop stable and meaningful relationships.

CARS FOR CHANGE

Through the support of our gracious community, they are able to accept donations of new and used vehicles, mentor and assist their residents in maintenance and repair of these vehicles and then provide these as donations to their residents who are in need of reliable transportation.

Housing

They have a sober living facility where the residents can stay to be equipped for the next step in their life. There are weekly Bible Studies, meeting with a mentor and assisting in setting goals for their future. The expectation is that the resident will find employment and move into their own apartment.

SECOND CHANCES

Second Chances is a free furniture and clothing shop currently residing at New Covenant Community Church. This is run through the incredible generosity of the community, sustained on donations and volunteers. The goal is to come along those in crisis by providing physical resources and needs.
