Oswego Alliance Church has a heart for missions and the Dominican Republic!
We are once again establishing a team to travel to the Dominican Republic in late February 2027. Our primary week we are trying to have a team is February 20 – 27, 2027. This team could serve in medical clinics, work on various building projects or even assist in ministries which are conducted by Mission 2535 in the communities and local churches. The week of February 13 – 20, 2027 is also being offered for a smaller group if you desire to travel then and wouldn’t have the medical clinics but conduct ministries throughout that week.

What are the Trip Dates?
February 2027
Our primary week we are focusing on is Saturday, February 20 – Saturday, February 27, 2027. That week ministries will be conducted, projects worked and medical clinics in the surrounding communities in cooperation with the local churches. This is also the week that Community Alliance Church in Hinesburg, VT is also sending a team. They have worked with us the last couple of years and formed one awesome team together.
The other week that is available as an alternate week or in addition to the primary week is Saturday, February 13 – Saturday, February 20, 2027. This week would be a smaller group which would only conduct ministries that week. To make you aware, current airfare prices for flying that week are extremely higher than other weeks.

What are some Ministries M2535 conducts?
Teams have conducted ministries with M2535. Here are some of them – House Visitations, Seniors Home, Orphanage/At Risk Children, Youth Rehabilitation Center, Youth Detention Center, Hospital Visitations, Vacation Bible School (VBS), Outreach Events, Special Needs and Men’s Rehabilitation Center.

What are projects which will be worked?
There always seems to be work to be done at Community of Hope but M2535 focuses on ministering to those in local communities through the churches in those communities. They have conducted church building before and could be building one in 2027. Recently M2535 released a video about them meeting the needs with building small homes. If our teams have the size, we could have team members at medical clinics, ministry locations and conduct building projects.
What size will our team be?
Overall size of group will be determined by our team as well as a team from Vermont at Community Alliance Church in Hinesburg, VT. Additionally we could have others from elsewhere.
How old do you need to be?
Those under 18 will need to have a team member be designated as their guardian on the trip. Certainly family members of those under 18 are encouraged to come and be a part of this trip.
Passports?
Are a must! If you do not have one you need to pursue it as soon as possible. If you have one, check your expiration dates.

Are vaccinations required?
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has information on their website as to what travels should or recommend getting. It is up to each traveler to determine their need. Any cost that associated with vaccinations would be the responsibility of each applicant.

What is the cost of the trip?
As of 10/4/26 the approx. guesstimate is $2,000 pp for the week of Feb 20-27, 2027.
Week of Feb 13 – 20, 2027 airfare cost are running $400 or more than the Feb 20-27 week.
Cost to be determined when team size is finalized and when airfares are established.
Fees include:
- Airfare. Airfare may not include baggage fees. It depends on the airline.
- Ground transportation in the Dominican Republic
- Lodging in the Dominican Republic
- Food while serving with Mission 2535
- Does not include any immunizations or passport fees
- Does not include any additional spending money one may desire to bring
Will there be any fundraising events?
We aren’t planning on any team fundraising. However you can certainly send out support letters. If you need examples of those, they can be sent to you, just let us know.
