DESCRIPTION:The Oswego County Health Department partners with the Food Bank of Central New York to bring Mobile Food Pantry to our county. The Oswego Alliance Church is glad to be a place where this occurs. \n\n\n\nAnyone in need of food assistance is encouraged to attend and receive a free box of food. The food boxes are limited to one per household and will be distributed while supplies last. Come knit\, crochet\, make cards\, do diamond dots or some other craft. \n\n\n\n We set up tables in the big room for anyone to use and simply ask that they let us know if they’ll be attending that weekend.   \n\n\n\n We provide the ironing boards with irons\, have a donation table\, as well as tables to sit at while having lunch or a snack.  Bring snack items to share as we don’t provide any meals. Coffee is available! \n\n\n\n  While we don’t teach the art of sewing a quilt top\, many are experienced quilters and are willing to help the new beginner. \n\n\n\nWe meet mostly on the 2nd weekend of the month\, although occasionally the weekend needs to be changed due to conflicts. Once a year the ladies do not meet at the church and instead have a 4 day quilting/crafting retreat at Delta Lake in September.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease contact Judy Smith through the office if you will be attending office@oswegoalliance.org

DESCRIPTION:OAC Fall Hiking Weekend*Dates: Friday\, October 3- Sunday\, October 5\, 2025*Times may change*Location: Tupper Lake\, ADK (house is located on Little Wolf Lake)*Cost: $185 (covers two nights lodging and meals)*Payment can be made via Venmo (HMcDougall-24). If you do not have Venmo\, please reach out to Amy M to determine an alternate method of payment.*Sleeping arrangements: Home has 4 bedrooms\, which can accommodate between 2-3 people each.*How many can attend? We can fit 10-12 in the current rental; however\, if the response if such that an additional home would be needed\, there are a few options in the immediate area. Once we have 12 people registered\, Amy M will start a “wait list”\, then look to see if a nearby rental is still available once we have enough for the next home to be near capacity.*Plans for the weekend: Flexible! Where we hike and when will be determined by group interests\, after discussing options at dinner on Friday (we can break into smaller groups to accommodate for everyone if that works best). We’ll have dinner as a group Friday and Saturday\, with food being available to either make or pack for breakfast and lunches. Planning to have a time of worship Sunday morning\, led by Cali… time and place TBD (perhaps sunrise with a view as we worship?)*Travel: Also flexible! It makes sense to carpool; however\, people might want to head out at different times. More below…*Registration will be considered complete once your registration form AND payment is received.
